My Story

I'm a User Experience researcher and designer with a sharp eye for detail and a superpower for listening and collaborating.

After spending my childhood on the East Coast, I moved out to sunny California, where my lifelong love of storytelling inspired me to study Film and Media at Stanford University with a minor in Comparative Literature. I went on to complete a Master of Science in Psychology at Palo Alto University. After graduating I worked in the Silicon Valley tech industry. I'm new to the Pacific Northwest and looking forward to getting to know Seattle.

My Philosophy

I'm a big believer in the power of listening and think most conflicts in the world could be resolved with a win/win outcome if people would just take the time to understand where everyone else was coming from. When I'm not listening to people's stories, you can find me hiking, reading a novel, out at the movies, playing my saxophone, or practicing jiu-jitsu.

Why UX Research and Design?

User Experience research and design bridges the gap between working with people and working with data, as well as between working creatively and working analytically. It's a discipline that combines my love of listening to people, my love of storytelling, and my love of problem solving. It's a chance to help companies listen to users' stories as well as better communicate their own stories to their users.
